During the COVID-19 pandemic, many people had to adjust to remote work. For one family in Mount Bures, Essex, the need for a comfortable, secluded workspace led to the transformation of an unused stable into a modern office. The team at Bluemanor helped create a bright, energy efficient space that was perfect for daily work from home, whilst maintaining the characterful, rustic charm of the pre-existing architecture.
The family’s existing stable was underused and lacked the functionality to be a comfortable, all-season workspace. Their main priorities were to have a workspace that was contemporary and well-lit, energy efficient for year-round comfort, and secure and separate from the main home.
